Why Silent Windows?

We imagine you are asking yourself one of two questions…

‘Why do we exist?’

So why did we come into being in the first place… what ‘gap’ did we see… and what’s our raison d’être? To know the answers, we invite to consider our Ethos and our Origin Story. And right now there’s probably another question you are asking yourself…

‘Why should you choose us?’

Below we outline what we believe are the main reasons why we feel so many clients choose us… and also why they keep coming come back to us. (Several clients have used us on a succession of successful projects.)

Acoustic Soundproof Windows

But first, we imagine there are some other big questions you have.

To answer those, yes, we have FAQs on this site. But we also feel there are ten questions in particular that you’ll be curious to hear the answers to – and which have shaped this About Us section.

And then, it felt right to give you a flavour of why – in their words – our clients choose us.

1. Because of who we are…

We’re not just timber window manufacturers and installers…

We’re also pioneers and engineers with a proven commitment to transform lives.

2. Because we never outsource…

It means you’ll only be ever served by our own team of surveyors, designers and engineers who all share our ethos.

3. Because of who we are not…

We’re not a lead generation website that sells your lead on to a random installer; neither are we an online marketing platform.

With us, you won’t ever speak to a sales people, only to our own trained engineers. To avoid making a costly mistake, here are some questions to ask any prospective supplier.

4. Because we’ve created the most advanced noise-reduction windows available.

Our windows are the most advanced, effective and reliable noise-reduction windows available on the market today. We redesigned them with the help of experts from the Institute of Acoustics. Today we are at the very forefront of understanding, applying and sharing the science of silence.

5. Because those same windows have won multiple awards.

To date these awards have been for innovation and customer service.

6. Because we are the Architect’s choice.

Now that we are RIBA certified, architects choose us, not only for our service, but also for our CPD training.

Because of who we are
Not sales people. Just acoustic experts
7. Because every one of our team has received expert training.

They have been trained at Southampton Solent University by experts from the Institute of Acoustics. It means their own expertise spans room acoustics, noise analysis and noise mitigation techniques. See how that expertise makes a difference to our process… and to your windows.

8. Because we always carry out a detailed noise analysis

As the first step of a bespoke process, we conduct a survey – using the latest analytical tools – to determine both the type of noise you’re experiencing and exactly how loud it is. This allows us to choose the product and the thickness of glazing units that are absolutely right for you. This initial visit concludes with a noise report, and comes without any obligation.

9. Because of our unique installation method

As we have deepened and then applied our wisdom of ‘the science of silence’, we have realised that it is not enough to have detailed acoustic analysis, the best possible materials, and an expert design process.

We realised that we also needed to develop a unique installation method… one specific to the challenge of maximising noise reduction.

It’s perhaps the one piece of our wisdom and our IP that we keep to ourselves. Although some details we are happy to share.

10. Because our installation team is fully certified

Each member of our in-house installation team is certified by the Glass Qualifications Authority. And because we are also FENSA registered, it means we can certify our installations. Our breadth of accreditations and after-care guarantees are another factor that set us apart.

11. Because there are various drawbacks to using contractors

As they are typically paid per window, it means that if they can squeeze another installation into the same day, they can keep the profit. Also, they save money by using cheaper material, and less of it. (Ask yourself. How would you know what type of foam, and how much of it, has been used once a window is in?) There is often no supervision or quality control – or accountability when things go wrong.

To avoid making a costly mistake, here are some questions to ask any prospective supplier.

12. Because building long-term relationships with customers matters to us.

We like to give people continuity, confidence and a sense of security. And we take pride in the fact that, since we began trading in 2010, we have built great relationships with our customers… several of whom have used us for multiple projects.

13. We still employ the people who carried out our first installation.

It’s one of the reassurances we’re able to give our clients – together with a great after-care service, various guarantees and annual maintenance. Every one of our team is not only trained and certified; they also share our ethos.

14. Because we have a long list of satisfied customers, from Margate to Dublin.

Our noise reduction projects have delighted a wide range of clients – from famous brands to individual homeowners from all corners of the British Isles.

From them both, we have received exceptional testimonials that demonstrate our capacity to deliver a first-class service.
